Audio Adventures are fully developed, immersive oral storytelling experiences that include sound effects, music, actors and narrators.
These adventures offer a distinctive way for audiences to experience my worlds, allowing me to step into the role of a griot—a traditional storyteller who preserves and shares the history and culture through oral narratives.
This is what I do for the worlds that I build.
By carefully crafting soundscapes that bring the story to life, composing original music that enhances the mood and atmosphere, and working with talented voice actors who breathe life into the characters, I create engaging and dynamic stories.
Audio Adventures provide a new medium for audiences to connect with my stories, offering a more intimate and immersive experience. As a griot, these audio adventures allow me to preserve and share the rich history and culture of my worlds, ensuring that they are passed down through generations.
Embracing the role of a griot means becoming a keeper of stories, using oral narratives to convey the essence of my worlds. Audio Adventures foster a sense of community, bringing listeners together to share in the experience and connect with the stories on a deeper level.
One of my favorite things about audio adventures is that they allow listeners to build the worlds with their own imaginations.
Even as a shared experience, each individual has their own unique experience within the group because everyone's imagination is different. You immediately activate your imagination to build the world that I am sharing with you. This is what I absolutely love the most about audio adventures.
I have a vision of a world in mind, and it's nothing like the world that the listeners have in mind—they can make it up.
It's really cool to talk to listeners about what they envisioned the characters, places, and events to look like. Audio adventures activate and engage the listener's imagination in a way that TV, video games, and other mediums don't.
Listening is an active experience.
Audio Adventures are a powerful way to explore new storytelling methods and connect with audiences. By incorporating sound effects, music, and actors, these immersive experiences allow me to become a modern-day griot, preserving and sharing the rich history and culture of my worlds.

A trip down Bennett Road, in this Audio Adventure I narrate a whimsical tale about my childhood shenanigans in Amite, Louisiana, at my Grandma and Pawpaw's house. From chasing pigs to fishing and playful fights, relive the joy and chaos of those carefree days. With actors reenacting the lively scenes alongside my narration, this story brings to life the playful moments shared with my brothers and cousins.

Final say
Unlike visual mediums, Audio Adventures require listeners to actively participate in the storytelling process, filling in the visual gaps with their imagination. Each listener brings their own perspective and creativity to the story, making the experience highly personal and varied. There’s an art to actively listening.
